The exhibition The Chinese Scene in Transit: Theater Programs from the Early Years of the People's Republic of China will take place from August 11 to September 1, 2025, at the entrance hall of the Library of the School of Communications and Arts, at the University of São Paulo. Admission is free, Monday through Friday, from 9 AM to 8 PM.
Through theater programs and other materials, visitors will be able to observe the extensive mobility of Chinese performing arts in the initial years of the People's Republic of China—when, amid the genesis of the Cold War, the newly founded and still diplomatically isolated country traveled across the globe thanks to theatrical tours, especially of Peking Opera.

The Other Side of the World: Artistic Exchanges Between Brazil and China
Held in 2024 to commemorate the fiftieth anniversary of diplomatic relations between Brazil and the People's Republic of China, this colloquium fostered debates on a wide range of cultural and artistic issues, as well as the various forms of exchanges developed between the two countries from the 1950s to the present days. Paper presentations and discussions focused on literature, theatre, cinema, television, and the audiovisual industry, shedding light on both established perspectives and exchanges, as well as those yet to be explored.
